Aissatou Sylla is a New-York and Paris qualified-lawyer working at Hogan Lovells LLP, a global law firm with over 50 offices.

She is British, French and Malian and focuses on the digital transformation in Africa, including IT, telecom, privacy and FinTech. She has significant international regulatory and on-the-ground experience in technology-related law, including telecom, consumer digital services, IT infrastructure, cloud, outsourcing, data protection compliance, privacy-by-design, information security.

Aissatou is currently finalising a book, co-authored by the African data protection authorities and ICT authorities. The book covers and details the privacy legal framework of each African country (see list below), with the regulators’ interpretation of legal and regulatory provisions.
